One of the Directors of TAS has generously facilitated a £15,000 grant to The British Racing School in Newmarket. 

The money is being used for a horse racing simulator, which can be taken to fairs around the country, to help encourage youngsters into the sport.

Dear all at the Answering Service,

Wishing you a very Happy Christmas from all at Flett & Carmichael Vets

 

Thank-you to all you guys and girls 

who call us on the phone.

We do try not to shoot the messenger

and not to grump and groan..

When you call us up in the wee small hours,

or in the middle of our hard earned rest,

it's sometimes hard to be cheery

and we're not quite at our best.

But we really are so very grateful,

that you are there to take the flack

From stressed out or worried clients,

to keep them happy til we ring back.

Sometimes the folk who ring us 

might be unusual or insane,

but you handle them so professionally

(and you treat us just the same!)

So thank you all for what you do

we wish you all good Cheer

and have a lovely Christmas

Cutting of telephone cables

There has been recent reporting in the national press that overhead and underground telephone cables are being cut, and the metal being sold to scrap merchants.  The impact of this is immense and incredibly annoying, because those affected can be without their telephone service.
